Abstract

In order to improve the quality of effective and efficient services, professional cooperatives need supporting equipment such as capable offices and competent management in their fields. At the airport, escalators are an important device that helps administration at the air terminal, especially to make it easier for travelers to get to their destination plane. Quick handling of escalator damage is very important to maintain the quality of service at the airport. This article presents an investigation regarding "Identification and Resolution of Problems with the Escalator Brake System at Domestic Departures at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang International Airport". This field work practice aims to apply knowledge about escalator maintenance at airports. Escalators at airports function to speed up the movement of passengers to the plane, but passenger safety when using escalators must also be considered. Checking and repairing escalators must be carried out optimally to ensure their suitability. It is hoped that this report will become a medium for knowledge about problems and resolution of problems with escalators and mechanical operations at Palembang's Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport
