Chiller is a tool used for air conditioning at the airport, with an important role in cooling the room for passengers, visitors, and employees. This study aims to identify damage to the condenser fan motor using the observation method and analyze its impact on chiller performance at Hang Nadim International Airport Batam. In the visual inspection, the author found a motor current overload alarm on Chiller 4 system 2. The observation method was applied to detect signs of damage and performance degradation in the condenser fan motor. The data collected included visual observation, vibration analysis, and measurement of system temperature and pressure. The results show that damage to the condenser fan motor can result in decreased chiller efficiency, increased energy consumption, and potential further damage to other components. The findings confirm the importance of regular maintenance and periodic inspections to ensure optimal performance of the chiller system, and provide practical recommendations for mitigation and repair of damage to the condenser fan motor
